Little Tikes Cape Cottage Review

Little Tikes Cottage Playhouse

Someone is excited they got a new Little Tikes Cape Cottage Playhouse! Even looks great in the box.

Little Tikes Playhouse Review

The Little Tikes Cape Cottage Playhouse is so easy to assemble that even my 4 year old daughter was able to lend a helping hand deciphering the instructions for us.

Little Tikes Playhouse Review

I was pleasantly surprised at how simple all the parts snapped together and how sturdy everything felt once in place.

Little Tikes Playhouse

Putting the Little Tikes Cape Cottage Playhouse together proved to be a family affair with even the little one screwing some of the screws in place.

Little Tikes Review

As you can see in the pictures the playhouse was not only adored by by 4 year old daughter it was very enticing to my 9 year old daughter as well.  The playhouse can span a variety of ages and in my opinion you could also buy one of these for a child younger than the recommended age of 2.  My girls loved the windows that can be opened and shut as well as having 2 doors one on each end.  As my husband works for the Postal Service they also found the mail slot to be quite entertaining as well.  The Cape Cottage Playhouse is light and durable and can easily be moved around the yard, driveway, or basement.  The vibrant colors make it very aesthetically pleasing to look at in your yard as your children spend hours in and out of the playhouse.  Little Tikes has a great reputation for building quality children's toys and the Cape Cottage Playhouse definitely lives up to all expectations and is a must have for any household with kids.

*This was a sponsered post from Little Tikes but all opinions were forthright and truthful regarding the quality and craftsmenship of the Cape Cottage Playhouse.

End of the Year Classmate Gift - See You Later Alligator!

alligator sipping lemonade for the end of year school treat

On the last day of school every year we give something to each of my daughter's classmates so they know that they will be missed. Since we moved schools last year I luckily get to reuse some of the previous school gifts we have done. Thank goodness my daughter doesn't mind:) I had used this in first grade and we are using it again for the end of the 3rd grade. I'm pretty sure after this year she might think it's too "baby".

This a Facebook exclusive from Hello Cuteness's Facebook page if you "like" them. The owner of the graphics put lemonade candy in her's but I thought this was much simpler and some schools won't allow opened candy. I opted for lemonade packets that you can purchase at the Dollar Tree for you guessed it a $1. I think I bought 4 boxes and it gave each child 2 in a package for 22 kids. It would look better if you adhered the baggie with double sided tape but I was lazy in a hurry and just stapled it. I mean the kids are in 3rd grade I doubt they are going to be examining it that closely anyways.

School Birthday Celebrations - Krispy Kreme donuts & Waters

Every school year the class gets to bring in a treat to help celebrate your child's birthday. Well my daughter's birthday is in the summer. So, if you happen to have a summer birthday the teacher lets you pick a day out of the last two weeks of school. This still lets the class celebrate your birthday and no one gets left out. This year we decided on bringing Krispy Kreme donuts. We changed it up because everyone always brings cupcakes. Of course, being who I am.....I had to personalize the water bottles. I thought they turned out really cute.

Look at these cute plates. Guess where I found them? The Dollar Tree! I love shopping there. I shop there regularly because they sell my dog's collar batteries. And so one of the times I was looking around I spotted these. I thought they were cute and girly. These would fit the bill for the plates and napkins my 3rd grader needed to take for her birthday treats to be served on.

End of the Year Teacher Gift

Teachers Come In n Out of our Lives But Stay In our Hearts Forever

The end of school kind of snuck up on me this year. So, what is a Mama to do? Go for the easiest, quickest gift possible! I put this In-N-Out gift card bag together the morning of the last day of school. I got the idea and printable from The Diary of Dave's Wife. Apparently, no longer available:( That was one of the ways I was able to put it together so quickly. I already had the white paper bag, ribbon, card stock, double sided tape, and red paper shreds so I just had to quickly measure the width of my bag and resize the free printable to fit my bag. Then, I ran by In-N-Out before heading to the end of the year class party and placed the gift card inside the bag. Simple but cute.

label for in and out appreciation

Update 2/17: One of my readers brought it to my attention that The Diary of Dave's Wife has this no longer available. I really hate when something I saw leads to a bad link. So, I decided to whip one up. It is NOT exactly like the one I used but it is close enough. If you would like one for yourself, comment below and I will send over the template. If you know the dimensions you'd like to use let me know and I can change that as well:)
