Review: Family Facts Pregnancy ~ Organizer & Planner

I love being organized but was having a hard time keeping all the "baby" stuff together until I was sent the Family Facts Pregnancy organizer by Pam Socolow.  One of the greatest things about this planner is that it is designed for first time mom's and for mom's with children already (like me).
Let me share with you some of the contents inside this little jewel....I wish I had discovered this the first go round.

*Prenatal Visit Log (includes weight, blood pressure, and things of important to note.)  I recently dug out the sheet that was copied from my first birth to compare to my current pregnancy and would have liked so much more to have this pretty little organizer to reference.
*Who to contact when in Labor
*What mommy and baby need
*Baby Shower Gift Log
* Baby Registry
*Delivery Day Bag
*And MUCH more!

If you know me then you know I love checklists and places to write things down.  This planner is perfect for a keepsake to cherish for years to come.  I would have loved if my mother had one of these where I could feel like I was sharing her experience with my own.  This is a must have for new mom's and existing mom's too.  For under $20 bucks I call it a bargain.  You can buy it online here.  In 2009, the Family Facts Pregnancy Planner was voted a must have by Pregnancy Magazine.

Groupon: $84 for a One-Night Stay in a Retreat Room and Yoga Classes at The Canebrake

After navigating floating platform staircases, dodging living-room-level bosses, and searching for randomly appearing bathroom keys, most homeowners come to regret purchasing houses built by video-game designers. Today's Groupon offers respite from the chaos: for $84, you get a one-night stay in a retreat room and regularly scheduled yoga classes at The Canebrake (a $168 value on weekends and $148 value on weekdays, including tax). The Canebrake is located about 45 miles east of Tulsa.
The friendly owners of The Canebrake, Oklahoma's first ECO-certified property, aim to provide a calming, luxurious resort that cultivates earth-friendly policies and improves the health and wellness of each incoming soul sack. The gorgeous Green Country swathes guests in five miles of varied topography and a telekinetic hug, and inside, the owners have erected every facet of their building and services with sustainability in mind. Upon your arrival, an experienced and knowledgeable staff member will lead you to a retreat room, which comes furnished with a split-king bed and two cushy chairs with a reading lamp, as well as thick terrycloth bathrobes, slippers, a spread of Aveda products and Starbucks coffee. In-room continental breakfast bags are provided, and each new calendar day presents a chance for hiking, fishing, spa treatments, or a trip to the adult sandbox, where grown kids can play volleyball, toss horseshoes, and host Tonka truck rallies.

A stay at The Canebrake includes access to regularly scheduled yoga classes. Whether you want to stand taller, bend over backwards, or open a pickle jar taped to your back, the limber instructors will accommodate your style, and classes are scheduled daily. Stretchers of all levels rubberize their limbs each day in the pleasant Yoga Barn, an inviting, 1,700-square-foot facility that features a heated cork floor, perfect for chilly feet and melting cocoa butter.

Today's Groupon is not valid on holiday weekends; be sure to call ahead and make reservations.

Dillards: Additonal 40% Already Reduced Merchandise

Here is round two of Dillard's winter clearance sale.  The rest of the store like I had mentioned in my previous shopping trip had their additional 40% off already reduced merchandise starting yesterday 2/25 - 2/27.  The big & tall department we scored really big but I was disappointed to see only 40% off instead of the 50% off that we had gotten from the big & tall.  Also, some things weren't reduced as much as I would have liked but, I think we still got some really good bargains and more Christmas presents and birthday presents.

I plan on giving the OSU fan in our family this Christmas the sweat jacket originally $60 & the black long sleeved OSU shirt originally $24.  I spent on this Christmas present $21.00.  I also will be giving the OSU as a birthday present with something else but will still keep the total under budget.

I bought the vest for skiing because besides skiing being very expensive, so is the clothing to go along with it.

This is part of an early Birthday present for my husband.

Our family is divided so I will be giving the OU fan these OU shirts on their Birthday and Christmas.  I bought some OU for myself too since we will be moving out of state very soon and still wanted to show my Oklahoma pride even though I care nothing about football.  I also bought the snowflake thermal for skiing.

I love Hello Kitty and so does my daughter so I couldn't resist buying up a big bunch of it especially since she will be starting Kindergarten this fall.

I love the sweater dress and the cable knit tights to match.  And what about that fancy giraffe.

You can't go wrong with soft knit pants for little girls.

Here is a cute little bear coat for the little one.  These scarfs are really neat too because do you see the pockets on either side they are for your hands?  I will be giving one of these for a Christmas present and keeping one for myself.

I wore alot of scarves this year so I bought myself this cute crocheted flowery scarf.  Can you believe someone would pay $69 just because it was brand name?

My daughter loves this Fancy Nancy dress even though she has no idea who she is.  She is all girl and just loves all the tulle and girlyness.

Dillard's Sale: Big & Tall 70% Off + Additional 50%

Dillard's usually has this sale on the last weekend of the month but for Big & Tall in Tulsa, OK they are having it a week early, that is the additional 50% off.  The sales associate said that next weekend they would be having the additional 50% off the rest of the store next weekend but since we shop the big and tall we were happy they did it this weekend.

Total spent was: $165.97
Original total would have been: $994.95

That included two Christmas presents, one Birthday present, and twelve long sleeved shirts & a jacket for the mister.  For one of the Christmas presents I spent $25.49.  I would've originally spent $169.00 if I had waited until closer to Christmas time.......ugh, no thank you. The other Christmas present was $6.75 originally $45.00.  The Birthday present was originally $79.99 spent $11.99.

Sales like this make it easy to give presents at Birthdays and Christmas without the stress and without breaking the bank.

Laziest Dog Ever!

I think I have the laziest dog ever.  Here she is in our junk room with a dining room chair leaned back, courtesy of my 4 year old....sleeping.

Still not getting up, even with the 4 year old wrapped around her neck.

Valentine's Day Egg in a Nest

My little girl loves eggs so, I thought I would change it up a bit and make an egg in a nest or you might call it a heart in a nest.  All you do is cut out the center of the bread with a cookie cutter and then break egg into the open hole.

Snowed In - AGAIN!

Here we are snowed in - AGAIN!  Oklahoma has not been kind to us this winter and my family has cabin fever.  So today my daughter and I thought we would do something for our neighbors.  They are the nicest people ever.  We made some homemade marshmallows and premade hot cocoa, slapped a label and a ribbon on it and walked it over to our neighbors.  They are always so grateful and thought it was lovely.  The label was especially fitting for them since they have the nicest lawn on the block.
